POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s ingredients and flavors to B2B clients in the food ingredients and flavor distribution sector. The role focuses on understanding product applications, market needs, and customer production processes to provide suitable commercial and technical solutions. This position supports business growth by maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and ensuring high-quality service throughout the sales process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product and Technical Understanding
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the technical specifications, applications, and origins of the company’s ingredients and flavors through internal training, supplier collaboration, and industry resources
- Leverage technical expertise to provide tailored solutions that align with customers’ production processes and requirements
- Understand how ingredients are applied in customer production lines, including manufacturing processes and technologies used.
- Customer Management & Business Development
- Manage assigned customer accounts, follow up regularly to ensure satisfaction and identify customers’
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers’ technical and purchasing teams. Regularly engage with clients to follow up on contracts, purchasing plans, and new requirements. Address customer technical issues and propose tailored solutions using SIM’s ingredients and technical services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned industry segment; propose samples, build trust, and generate project pipelines.
- Sales Planning and Execution
- Implement sales activities in line with the company’s plans and assigned targets.
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager on pricing, quantities, lead times, and negotiation to close orders.
- Introduce new products, ingredients, and supplier technologies to customers.
- Support market surveys on pricing and customer demand.
- Internal Coordination & Problem-Solving
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales Admin, Procurement, Warehouse) to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Report to the Sales Manager in case of issues related to product quality, payments, or delivery, and support in resolving them.
- Liaise with suppliers to clarify specifications, documents, or quotations when needed.
- Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and customer updates as required.
- Follow internal sales processes, documentation standards, and update ERP records accurately.
- Other Activities
- Support relationship-building activities with customers: holiday gifting (Mid-Autumn, Tet, etc.) and special occasions.
- Continuously monitor competitor activity, pricing, and customer feedback to support strategic decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or a related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of sales experience in the food ingredients / additives industry.
Languages: Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
