POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Quality Assurance Executive is responsible for carrying out day-to-day quality assurance activities to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance for all imported materials and food additives handled by the company. This role directly performs assigned QA tasks, monitors adherence to quality standards, supplier requirements, and Vietnamese food safety regulations, and coordinates with internal teams and customers on technical quality matters. All work results, evaluations, and recommendations are consolidated and reported to the QAM to support the effective operation and continuous improvement of the company’s quality management system, supplier qualification processes, and complaint-handling activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality Assurance & Control
- Perform incoming material inspections and monitor storage conditions through planned periodic checks.
- Review and verify quality documents, specifications, and CoAs from suppliers.
- Ensure traceability and accuracy of quality records.
- Regulatory Compliance
- The Senior QA supervises and evaluates the compliance of product labeling, product claims, and circulation licenses with Vietnamese food safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform supplier qualification and quality audits, report findings to the QAM, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen).
- Collaborate with the technical support team to provide quality-related data and support for product registration processes.
- Complaint Handling & Issue Resolution.
- Investigate quality complaints and develop technical solutions, reporting findings to the QAM.
- The Senior QA works with logistics, sales, and other relevant departments to analyze non-conformities and identify root causes, reporting findings to the QA Manager.
- Summarize complaint data and propose preventive measures.
- Quality Management System
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP-related procedures.
- Support QA Manager in internal training on QA standards, ISO, and review updates of procedures and regulations.
- Propose system improvements and assist in external audits.
- Product Development & Technical Support (Typically applies to new projects, and participation may be optional)
- Participate in technical evaluations of new raw materials.
- Collaborate with R&D and Business Development on new product launches.
- Operation and Control of Retained Samples
- Conduct sampling, retention, and preservation of product samples.
- Record sample logs and traceability documentation.
- Ensure sanitation, safety, food-grade conditions, and 5S compliance.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for sample handover and handling.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology / Chemistry, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in the food or food ingredients industry.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Certified in HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 / FSSC, and relevant food safety standards.
- Good command of English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- High integrity, strong sense of responsibility, and proactive problem-solving ability
